Grand Knight’s Report (Dan Fuller)

  • One of the families in the Parish suffered a damaging fire in their house.  Unfortunately, it was a total loss.  Our Council has pledged assistance.
  • Communion Breakfast was held on 9/10/23, with guest speaker, Fr. Lance who provided a discussion on catechesis.  Event went smoothely, but attendance was lighter than we hoped.  We had 32 attendees.  Only 1 adult male was not a Knight.  For the next communion breakfast, we will be looking to do an event on Corpus Christi that will include a procession reverencing the Eucharist in the church parking lot, which will conclude in the church, followed by a repast.
  • A contract was signed with Atlantic Bingo to obtain the computer needed for the new flash boards. We will purchase the televisions in the coming weeks.  We will need to design the mounts to install them in the parish center.  We are confirming if we can get the cabling donated.
  • Chair refurbishment – Mike Sabella is planning and has complete one chair to test the process.  We should be able to refurbish all of the chairs for the parish center for under $1,000, but will need labor from the Council.
  • Upcoming seminar at Holy Angels near the Willowbrook Mall – will focus on how we can grow our Council.
  • We have sponsored a hole at the Donald E. Ryan Federation Golf Outing on September 25th as previously planned.
