Our council awards $5,000 in scholarships each year. Below are links to our council scholarships and other Knights of Columbus scholarship opportunities.
Council 6100 Scholarships
- Recipient: Students graduating high school
- Award: 4 scholarships – $1500, $1000, $500 (2)
- Qualifications: All applicants must be a resident of Mount Olive Township, attend Mt. Olive HS or a child of any Council 6100 member and are appraised on 5 categories: Scholastic Achievement, Church/Religious Institution activities, Community activities, Extra-Curricular activities and Essay. The essay will describe the applicant’s reasons for continuing their education and why a scholarship is important to them.

Thomas Christopher DeLalla Memorial Scholarship
- Recipient: Student graduating high school
- Award: $1000
- Qualifications: All applicants must be a resident of Mount Olive Township, attend Mt. Olive HS or a child of any Council 6100 member and are appraised on dedicated commitment and leadership in organizations or activities to benefit others, the community and the youth of Mount Olive Township. Special consideration will be given for participation and leadership in activities or programs which directly benefit local community youth organizations (e.g. religious organizations, squires, youth group, sports, scouting, other community youth based organizations.). An essay is required describing why a scholarship is important to the applicant and what the applicant did specifically that qualifies him/her as the best candidate to receive this scholarship.

Council 6100 Trades Scholarship
- Recipient: Students graduating high school
- Award: 1 onetime – $1000
- Qualifications: All applicants must be a resident of Mount Olive Township, attend Mount Olive High School, Morris County Vocational School District, or a child/grandchild of a council 6100 member. Applicants must have a C average or better and are appraised on 4 Categories; Church/Religious Institution activities, Community Activities, Extra Curricular Activities, and Essay. The Essay will describe the applicant’s reasons for entering into the Trades and the reason why the scholarship is important to them. Applicants must be able to show, proof of enrolment in a trade school, or proof of acceptance into an apprenticeship program, or proof of employment with a qualified employer prior to the awarding of the scholarship.

- Trades: Include but are not limited to; the building trades, automotive, culinary and cosmetology trades.

Council 6100 Member Service Scholarship
- Recipient: Student graduating high school.
- Award: $500 one-time.
- Qualifications: The applicant must be a child or ward of a Council 6100 member in good standing, be continuing their education and have dedication to their faith, community and helping others.
- Sponsor: Member Service Scholarship fund through the Knights of Columbus Council 6100
- Special instructions:
Applicant completes applicable sections.

- All scholarship applications must be received by the Council 6100 Scholarship Chairman no later than April 21. Completed applications should be turned in to your HS Guidance office or may be e-mailed (preferred) to: 6100Scholarships@gmail.com (PDF format preferred)

Budd Lake, NJ 07828 - The Council 6100 Scholarship Selection Committee reserves the right to contact the HS guidance office for verification of any and all information supplied. Notification of winners will be provided to the HS Guidance office no later than the 3rd week in May.
Other Scholarships Available

Bishop Dougherty Scholarship
- Recipient: Students entering their freshman year of college
- Award: $1000 annually for four (4) years.
- Qualifications: Children, siblings or grandchildren of any fraternal brother in the Knights of Columbus order. The applicants must be sponsored by a member of the New Jersey Knights of Columbus in good standing, a resident of New Jersey, and entering their freshman year of college. The applicant need not attend a Catholic high school or plan to attend a Catholic college or university.

- Deadline: March 1 to the council GK and April 1 to the State Chairman

Paterson Federation High School Scholarship
- Recipient: Student entering a Catholic High School.
- Qualifications: Must be a child, grandchild, foster child or adopted child of a current or deceased member of a Council in good standing of the Paterson Federation Knights of Columbus. Be an 8th grade student graduating from a grammar or middle school (public, private, or parochial) in the Paterson diocese who will be attending a Catholic high school (of their choice) in September.

Paterson Federation College Scholarship
- Recipient: Student entering college, trade or technical school
- Qualifications: Must be a child, grandchild, foster child or adopted child of a current or deceased member of a Council in good standing of the Paterson Federation Knights of Columbus. Must be a graduating high school senior. Must be accepted and planning to attend a Two or Four-year college or university, or post-secondary trade or technical school in the Fall Term 2021.

The DiCicco Family Scholarship Fund (DFSF)
- Recipient: Student graduating high school.
- Award: $1000/yr up to 4 years.
- Qualifications: The student must be a resident of Mount Olive Township. The student must be active in church, community, school and family activities. Candidates with a leadership role will be given preference. The student must be in the top third (1/3) of their class. A 500-word essay must be written addressing the following question: What have you done to meet the criteria this award?
