Program Reports – Led by John Watral

Bingo  (Mike Malon)- Bingo is going well, but we need help! Our setup was weak this past week, but we managed to get by. We are going to need workers this upcoming week because jackpots are high. We had 120 people last friday and we are expecting more this upcoming friday. Our equipment is getting old, but we are getting by.

Blood Drive Gerard – The blood drive is coming up this saturday. Normally the June blood drive is our best drive, and April was a fantastic drive. We could always use help advertising.

Soup Kitchen (Lenny) We had our soup kitchen last week in Dover and we served 62 meals.

Diaper Drive (Gerry) – We had a very successful diaper drive; I delivered them to carenet last friday.

State Convention (Dan) – I went down to the convention and had the privilege to see Jim Sweeny get elected as state secretary. The convention was a good experience and I’m glad I went

Tank Pull (John Watral) – The tank pull team “Esto Dingus” went well. We had 8 boys participate.

Tank Pull (Jim Sweeney) – there were 48 teams and the tank pull was a great experience. The tank pull raised over $100,000.

Squires (John) – No meeting this month and elections coming up; hope we can get enough boys for the election.

Scholarships (Tom Delahlah) – I’ve been on the scholarship committee since 99’, and I’ve been keeping tabs of the amounts over the years. From 97-2023 the total scholarships awarded was $178,500. There were 128 students awarded scholarships and some students received more than one. Out of the 128 students, 27 of them were children of knights. Unfortunately, more and more of the recent applicants are scoring 0 in terms of the religious scoring activities. (Gerard mentioned changing/revising the scoring to include more faith based winners)
