Our Council’s Purchase of an Ultrasound Machine.
Last week, I had the pleasure of presenting a check to the Lighthouse Pregnancy Resource Center in Wayne for the purchase of an Ultrasound Machine. State Secretary and Council member, Jim Sweeney, who also presented a check from the State Council, Don Campbell and I got an up-close tour of this amazing piece of equipment. This machine can detect a baby’s heartbeat at only five and a half weeks of age! The machine comes with a monitor that is mounted on the wall in a way that allows the mother to see everything the technician sees. The quality of the image is amazing!
The Wayne facility is a warm and inviting place to council and care for mothers. The Lighthouse Pregnancy Resource Centers have an wide array of services to help mothers before, during and after birth. They have locations in Wayne, Hawthorn, Paterson, and Hackensack.

Our Council purchased another Ultrasound Machine for their Hawthorn location a few years ago. I am confident this machine will help many mother’s choose life and that it will show early signs of fetal conditions that can be cared for before birth or prepare doctors to provide the correct care after birth.
It is not often that our hard work raising money can make such a significant impact. Thank you all!
