Business Meeting
June 20, 2022
Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 7:35 pm by Grand Knight (GK) Joe D’Anna.
Warden’s Report
All present were in possession of a current membership card.
Opening Prayer
Opening prayer was led by Deacon John
Pledge of Allegiance
Salute to the flag was led by the council members.
Roll Call of Officers
N/A- per new format
Chaplain report
There was no chaplain report as the chaplain was not present.
Minutes of the Previous Meeting
The minutes of the previous meeting were accepted on a motion by Shawn Mickus, seconded by Chip and accepted by a unanimous vote.
Membership Report (Chip)
- We are still targeting September for a membership drive. Right now, I have been working in revitalizing bingo.
Grand Knight’s Report
- Distribution of the scholarship checks went well. There were comments that over the course of the years KOC council 6100 have donated over $100, 000 in scholarship.
- Looking forward to working with the new Grand Knight and group.
Treasurer’s Report (Wally)
The treasurer’s report is available upon request to the trustees.
Financial Secretary’s Report (Gerard)
Financial secretary’s report is emailed in advance to Trustees for approval of expenditures.
Program Report

Blood Drive
- We have hard copies for advertisement
- We have 90+ appointments- not a good number for this time of the year. June is historically our best drive. Anyone who can help advertise is encouraged to do so. Need help to set up table since bingo is back. The set up is going to be different due to bingo.
Food drive:
- I need back up support to provide verification of food donation to Supreme
Gerry Kaufhold
Diaper drive
- The diaper drive was a success. Although we collected about 3/4 of what we collected last year. Lots of diapers and baby wipes were given to Carenet and Birth Haven.
Lenny Martin
Dover soup kitchen
- First service in Dover- we were shut down for about 2 years due to Covid. Now we are able to go to the church in Dover and serve. We got a text from the director we are 1 of 2 teams who provided the fish dinner.
Tom Rohe
4th degree.
- Election June 21, 2022
- First D-day breakfast we serve 48 (10 free veterans- there were more than 10 veterans
- We will do it again next year for Veterans day.
John Watral (Squire)
- We had the Tank Pull last Sunday and raised $3,000
- We served at the veteran breakfast of June 5, 2022
- A parishioner requested help We are going to clean her flower bed
- End of July in combination with St. Kateri- paint ball trip in PA
- June 26th State Circle meeting at 3:00pm
Mike Mallon
Bingo
- Bingo is ready with help from Dan, Shawn, Joe, Tom, Chip. We need members to set up the hall and tables. Friday morning set up.
- Equipment- there are new hand help machines
- TV for bingo.- The current boards will not work much longer
- Gerry: We have a team- they will come and set the hall after mass.
Unfinished Business:
- Motion to allocate up to $4,000 for Blood Drives for the Columbian year 2022-2023 was made by Dan Fuller, seconded by Gerry Kaufhold, and passed with a unanimous voice vote. This is the first reading. The second reading to be held on July 18, 2022.
- Motion to allocate up to $1,400 for Dover Soup Kitchen for the Columbian year 2022-2023 was made by Lenny Martin, seconded by Tom Rohe, and passed with a unanimous voice vote. This is the first reading. The second reading to be held on July 18, 2022.
- Motion to allocate $5,000 for Good Shepherd school in Haiti for the Columbian year 2022-2023 was made by Shawn Mickus, seconded by Gerard Petrocelli, and passed with a unanimous voice vote. This is the first reading. The second reading to be held on July 18, 2022.
- Motion to allocate $1,200 for St. Joseph Home of the Elderly for the Columbian year 2022-2023 was made by John Watral, seconded by Dan Fuller, and passed with a unanimous voice vote. This is the first reading. The second reading to be held on July 18, 2022.
- Motion to allocate $9,600 for church hall rental for Bingo for the Columbian year 2022-2023 was made by Gerry Kaufhold, seconded by Dan Fuller, and passed with a unanimous voice vote. This is the first reading. The second reading to be held on July 18, 2022.
- Motion to allocate $2,400 for church hall donation for the Columbian year 2022-2023 was made by Dan Fuller, seconded by Gerry Kaufhold, and passed with a unanimous voice vote. This is the first reading. The second reading to be held on July 18, 2022

- Motion to allocate $200 for the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation was made by Shawn Mickus, seconded by Andrew Rodrigues, and passed with a unanimous voice vote.
Insurance Agent Report
- No insurance report
District Deputy Report
- Bob Hope – replacement for Mike Leyden as District Deputy
- At the Stare convention – with the affiliate program, we removed about 175 members. There could be a program moving forward to continue efficiency. The people to whom they reached out approximately 200 opted out . All the others want to remain knights.
