Business Meeting

March 9, 2021

Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 7:33 pm by Grand Knight Joe D’Anna.

Warden’s Report

All present were in possession of a current membership card.

Opening Prayer

Opening prayer was led by Grand Knight Joe D’Anna.

Pledge of Allegiance

Salute to the flag was led by the council members.

None

Minutes of the Previous Meeting

The minutes of the previous meeting were accepted on a motion by Gerry Kaufhold, Seconded by Shawn Mickus and accepted by a unanimous vote.

Membership Report

  • New candidate Kurt Phelp was contacted and would like to join the council, he could not join tonight. There is no objection to welcoming Kurt.
  • First degree coming up

Grand Knight’s Report

  • Success in the blood drive
  • Squire food drive Saturday March 13, 2021 from 10am to 2:00pm at Budd Lake Fire House Parking Lot.

Treasurer’s Report (Wally)

Monthly reports sent to the Sr. officers and trustees (not to be read at the meeting).

Financial Secretary’s Report

Financial Secretary report is emailed in advance to Trustees for approval of expenditures.

Program Report

Gerard Petrocelli- Blood Drive:

  • Successful blood drive on Feb. 6, 2021 (102 whole blood, 20 Alynx for a total of 142 products compared to 82 products collected the same time last year.

Gerry Kaufhold:

  • We wrapped up the Baby Bottle drive with a collection of approximately $2,541

Tom Rohe

  • Mount Olive food drive Sat. March 13, 2021 fire house- Squire will make a contribution to the Baby bottle drive- the food drive is a statewide event.
  • 4th degree- Meeting now held in Flanders- In April we are having exemplification (April 18)- You don’t have to participate in Color Corps to be a 4th degree.

New Business:

Motion 2021-32: Tom Rohe made a Motion to supplement the income from the Baby Bottle drive by $500 to allow a donation of up to $1,100 to each of the 3 recipients namely Carenet, Several Sources, and Birth Haven Shaun Mickus  seconded the motion and it passed by a unanimous voice vote.

Motion 2021-33: Dan Fuller made a motion for the council to donate $20.00 for an Ad journal for the 4th degree exemplification of April 18, 2021. Gerry Kaufhold seconded the motion, and it passed by a unanimous voice vote.

Motion 2021-34: Gerry Kaufhold made a motion for the Council to Motion to donate $100 for the March 13, 2021 Squire food drive Tom Rohe seconded the motion, which passed by a unanimous voice vote.

Insurance Agent Report

No report

District Deputy Report

Mike Leyden could not be at the meeting

4th degree exemplification – April 18, 2021 at 3PM at the Sheraton in Parsippany (in person and virtual)- $60 for dinner

Ad Journal we spoke about that last week

May 14-15, 2021 Wildwood convention (might be virtual)
