Business Meeting
April 13, 2021
Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 7:34 pm by Grand Knight Joe D’Anna.
Warden’s Report
All present were in possession of a current membership card.
Opening Prayer
Opening prayer was led by Father Antonio.
Pledge of Allegiance
Salute to the flag was led by the council members.
Roll Call of Officers

Chaplain report
Mike Leyden read the Acts of the Apostles as directed by Father Antonio. Homily: Early church community of believers had one heart, one mind- they gave everything to the church. We need to be one mind, one heart and the Eucharist is what makes us one. It is Jesus himself and the church is the body of Christ- Unity is very important.
Minutes of the Previous Meeting
The minutes of the previous meeting were accepted on a motion by Dan Fuller, Seconded by Shawn Mickus and accepted by a unanimous vote.
Membership Report
- Tom Rohe introduced Frank Dilorenzo as a new member- Frank has been living in Budd Lake for 25 years, married with 2 daughters and wants to make a difference after he retired.
- Alan Lopez was also introduced as a new member- Alan has been living in Mount Olive for the past 17 years, married with 2 children as well.

Grand Knight’s Report
- We are one in the body of Christ.
Treasurer’s Report (Wally)
Monthly reports sent to the Sr. officers and trustees (not to be read at the meeting).
Financial Secretary’s Report
Financial Secretary report is emailed in advance to Trustees for approval of expenditures.
Program Report
Gerard Petrocelli-
- Blood Drive is scheduled for April 24, 2021
- Scholarship drives are scheduled for July 31 and Dec. 11, 2021
Gerry Kaufhold:
- The 40-day life prayer vigil concluded on Good Friday and over 450 babies have been saved due to this prayer vigil.
Tom Rohe:
- Squires had the Annual Easter Egg hunt this past Saturday April 10, 2021.
- Tank Pull is back.
- Free throw contest is supposed to be Sat. April 17, 2021
- 4th degree exemplification Sunday April 18, 2021. There will be another one on November 21, 2021
Dan Fuller:
- We need to plan when and how Bingo can restart- We will need help
Unfinished Business:
There was no unfinished business
New Business:
Motion 2021-33: Gerard Petrocelli madea motion to donate $20 for the State Convention Ad journal for District 36. Dan Fuller seconded the motion and it passed by a unanimous voice vote.
Motion 2021-34: Gerard Petrocelli madea motion to donate $100 for Special Olympics – Check to be made out to Mike Leyden. Gregg Buckalew seconded the motion, and it passed by a unanimous voice vote.
Motion 2021-35: Gerard Petrocelli made a motion to donate $200 to Parkinson Foundation
Shaun Mickus seconded the motion, which passed by a unanimous voice vote.
Motion 2021-36: Gerard Petrocelli made a motion to allocate up to $500 to match the amount raised by the squire during the Tank Pull contest of June 13, 2021. Tom Rohe seconded the motion, which passed by a unanimous voice vote.
Insurance Agent Report
- Tom Rohe received a call from Alex Johanssen informing him of a May 6, 2021 Webinar on retirement – Special speaker: Jordan
- Grand Knight Joe D’Anna made a call for members to consider long term insurance
District Deputy Report (Mike Leyden)
- Pray for Tony Distefano
- April 18, 2020 was emotional (date father passed away)
- If we are having this conversation about unity, it is the same everywhere in the world
- Special Olympics moved to April this year. This is the 6th or 7th year I am doing it
- Free throw contest in Florham Park on April 17, 2021
- Join Jordan online for the insurance webinar (May 6, 2021)
