Business Meeting
August 10, 2021
Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm by Grand Knight Joe D’Anna.
Warden’s Report
All present were in possession of a current membership card.
Opening Prayer
Opening prayer was led by Grand Knight Joe D’Anna.
Pledge of Allegiance
Salute to the flag was led by the council members.
Roll Call of Officers
N/A- per new format
Chaplain report
There was no Chaplain present for a report.
Minutes of the Previous Meeting
The minutes of the previous meeting were accepted on a motion by Gerry Kaufhold, Seconded by Shaun Mickus with request to amend to motion numbers for June and July 2021 and accepted by a unanimous vote.
Membership Report
- The membership director is not around to provide an update.
Grand Knight’s Report
- Installation of officers – small turnout, but it went well.
Treasurer’s Report (Wally)
Financial reports are not read at the meeting. They are sent to officers and available by request.
Financial Secretary’s Report (Gerard)
Financial secretary report is emailed to Trustees in advance for approval of expenditures
Program Report
Gerry Kaufhold:
- Nothing to report for Prolife activities- Supreme court will be hearing the Mississippi case that life begins at conception.
Tom Rohe:
- Charity Mania– Tickets are still coming in- Sales are slow this year.
- We will run a membership drive for Squires – we will do the same for the council
- Picnic- All officers and 4th degree members are invited to the picnic at the Knights Hall in Flanders- Bring a perishable food item- Need a count by September 21, 2021
Gerard Petrocelli:
- Blood Drive- Fantastic result- Thanks to sponsor Christian Gladish. 155 registered donors, 121 whole blood, 30 Alynx for a total of 181 products.
- Next drive is September 25, 2021.
John Watral:
- Slow month for Squire- we did not fill out all the officers slots.
Unfinished Business:
- None
New Business:
Tom Rohe made a motion to donate $150 for the Warren Wormann Golf Outing to support Pope John XXIII High School Scholarship program. Dan Fuller seconded the motion and it passed by a unanimous voice vote.
Gregg Buckalew made a motion to donate $500 to the Saint Joseph by the Sea to support Catholic Education and the alumni who died. Gerard Petrocelli seconded the motion and it passed by a unanimous voice vote.
Insurance Agent Report
- No report
District Deputy Report (Jim Sweeney)
- November 20, 2021- Mass for life
- November 21, 2021- Pride in Priest dinner
- November 23, 2021- 4th Degree Exemplification
- I attended the Supreme Convention remotely- what was discussed was the Covid Recovery program.
- Insurance is expanding to mutual Funds not just selling insurance.

The Good of the Order was conducted by Tom Rohe

- Starting in October 2021: Officers meeting is 1st Monday of the month and Business meeting is 3rd Monday of the month.
Lou Candora made a donation of $500 to the council – GK Joe D’Anna will try to get Lou to a meeting.
