A Big Thank You!
I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who came out to help at bingo last night. We tied our record and had 152 people in attendance. We gave away two progressive prizes, one was $4,400 the other was $4,435. We sold 5,550 pull-tab tickets. The kitchen, with its small and inadequate facilities, sold burgers, hotdogs, and fish to all. Everything ran like a well-oiled machine. As a council, we made a lot of money to help our charitable causes.
None of this could have happened without the tremendous effort of many brother Knights working together. Not just last night either. Less than nine months ago, we started bingo back up in June of 2022, and it has proven to be a tremendous success. A lot of hard work and many hours of selfless service has paid off. Our Council has restored a consistent and profitable revenue stream and the results have far exceeded our expectations.
Few people see the checks we write to our church, diocese, Seminarians and religious organizations, food banks, pro-life activities, mothers, children and families in need, foundations for disease research, support of expectant mothers, the elderly, those with intellectual disabilities, community programs and many more. Each organization that receives our funds may not appreciate the efforts it took to raise them, but they are grateful.
To everyone who has been involved, thank you for your efforts, thank you for your time, and thank you to your families for understanding the time you spend to help our primary mission of charity.
